The DEPC education goals

The national centre of Circus Arts in Châlons-en-Champagne, the ENACR and the Fratellini academy jointly organize the implementation of the continuing teaching composed of five teaching units.

- Train circus teachers for discovery activities, introduction, development, a professional teaching, for children or advancing people.

- Preparing the Department of Culture level 6 (bac+3) circus arts state diploma.

By decree n°2019-887 of August 2019 the 21st and by order of the September 2019 the 5th concerning the state diploma of circus teacher, this 6 level diploma (bac + 3), registered in the RNCP, is able to be obtained by the initial education, the continuing education or the acquisition of work experience (VAE).

The education basis ( ENACR module)

The ENACR put its experience in the service of that UE which address the education basis (60 hours), communication and entertainment techniques (42hours).

The multidisciplinary team work (21hours), the design and the establishment of a workshop (60 hours).

A personal work is also required (47hours).

Participants alternate practical work and theoretical courses, role plays and practical analysis to:

- discover and experiment transmission, animation, assessment methods.

- strengthen or build a pedagogical thinking.

- adapt to the public diversity and the training situation.

- identify the different steps of the workshop setting.

- drive the team work pedagogical projects.

DEPC education

Public

The training is intended for circus professional who want to navigate to a professional circus teacher career.

Training period:

1350 hours distributed among:

- 860 classroom hours

- 490 personal work hours ( 175 internship hours)

Date and adress: 

From September to December 22 in the CNAC (51)

From January to March 2023 at the Fratellini academy (93)

From April to May at the ENACR (93)

Speakers:

Pedagogical team of the CNAC, ENACR and the Fratellini academy.

Evaluation procedures:

In continuous assessment: theoretical and practical exam, and final jury: brief + defence

Certification 

Validation of the five UE (teaching units) to get the circus teacher state diploma (registered in the national directory of professional certifications).

Prices and funding

6986 € including taxes (flexible according to individual cases) + 50€

Registration fee for the competition.

That training can be funded-under conditions by:

- Your CPF

- Go to the following site moncompteformation.gouv.fr

- A funder certified agency (AFDAS, Uniformation, Fongécif, POLE EMPLOI …)

- Or your employer (training plan, CIF)

DEPC Selection

The access to the training is made with the validated exam.

Some UE can be validated during the entrance exam.

Requirement:

The candidates have to justify one of the three following terms:

To be a circus artist

To teach circus 

To hold of the circus DNSP or an equivalent degree

They also have to justify a PSC1 document (prevention and emergency)
